“The Hill Country Knights celebrated Homecoming, Friday, September 19th with many eyes on our school and football team. It began with our all school pep rally that welcomed our Coaches and football team.

Additionally, Hill Country was presented with a plaque recognizing our being named the US Army and Football Magazine’s “Army Strong Team of the Week.”

The pep rally was followed by an afternoon of festivities for our entire school community, a parade of cars and trucks decked out with school colors, balloons and school spirit which led to the football field across the street.
At game time, the US Army made its official presentation to our coaches and team as well as our fans and amazing volunteers who worked the booths, and concession stands for exemplifying the values of team work, hard work, dedication and mutual support.
The Knights welcomed the Austin school, NYOS and played a great game taking the victory over NYOS 56 - 0. We were vistied by two local news outlets, KVUE and KEYE. We are so proud of our entire school community who welcomed these news crews and reporters. Both reporters commented on the hospitality, sportsmanship, sense of community and nice facilities Hill Country showed. They also both commented they would like to cover some more of our games for footage. Both stations showed highlights from Friday night’s game. Hill Country Knights lived out their faith Friday night on and off the field. Congratulations Hill Country for glorifying our Lord and set yourselves apart. ”
