Last Thursday night was a very special time for HCCSA. The School Preview for grades 5th - 12th took place. The excitement was palpable and contagious. We had parents who gave of their time to prepare delicious desserts, host a table for our guests, give tours, and just make this night a true community effort. There were teachers who were teaching in their classrooms to a sampling of their class as prospective and current paretns came through touring each class, each laboratory, and watching our teachers and students i n action. Initially, the parents heard from our head master, Mr. Bill McGee about what makes this school, HCCSA, a special place. We heard from Dr. Mo Yazdi, our chemistry and sciences instructor share about why this school is a holy place. We heard from Mrs. Erin Valdez, our upper school Latin instructor, about the new upper school Classical and Contemporary Academies providing our students more academic options for next year. We heard from two of our students, Justin Andrews and Caroline Janssen, juniors who shared with us about their experiences and successes. Both mentioned the challenge of preparing their Junior Thesis and how it has grown them in the process. We would like to extend our thanks to all of the parents, teachers and students who helped us showcase this spcial school. We thank our guests for their interest and attendance. We thank our Lord for His blessing on our school. This was truly a night of Community Success.
